Artist's Description
A clearing storm at sunrise in Arches National Park left dozens of rain-filled potholes with beautiful reflections. This was a large pothole, about 15 feet across. I was laying on my belly at the edge with a 20 mm lens positioned almost at surface level. The photo, taken in the early 90's, was used by Outdoor Photographer Magazine in 1997 as the cover image of their very first annual calendar.
About Dan Norris

A photography trip to Moab in 1986 was a life-changing event for me. I fell in love with the spectacular scenery of southeast Utah's canyon country and the challenge of capturing on film the incredible light, land forms and remnants of ancient cultures. In 1989, I began conducting photo workshops to the area and in 1992 made Moab my permanent home. I began making the transition to digital in 2005 and the majority of my images have been made with Canon digital equipment since 2008. In addition to workshops, I started self-publishing my photographs on greeting cards in 1989 through Ancient Images, a company I founded and operated for 20 years.
